Key words: relapsing polychondritis; myelodysplasia; Flexible laryngoscopy confirmed a bilateral vocal cord acute renal failure paresis. The arytenoids and aryoepiglottic folds were very oedematous. An emergency tracheostomy and laryngeal biopsy were performed. His condition stabilized and intravenous antibiotics and hydrocortisone were given.
